Lamiya Rzayeva has obtained her bachelor degree in Social work and masters in Social Research
Methods at Baku State University and has more than 5 years’ experience in the relevant field. She has
worked at several local NGOs such as Azerbaijan Children Union, Gayghi PU, Educated Society Public
Union and international organizations such as Oxfam GB and Chemonics and AWO in Germany. She has
provided consultancy service to International Organization for Migration, Hilfswerk Austria and ARGO
She participated at tens of international training courses on Social work and Social Services and
conducted trainings on Social work, development of social services for different groups of population to
more than 200 students, NGO representatives and civil servants.
Lamiya is a member of Y-Peer International Peer Education Network and peer educator. She is licensed
international trainer for Project Development and Management.
Lamiya is a member of Youth Advisory Council of United Nations in Azerbaijan.
She is working at AZSWU since 2012 as Deputy Executive Director and Project Coordinator and elected
as Executive Director in 2014.
